Recovery &
Fitness
Exercise is not only important for your body, but also for your mental health. Mental health is a big part of addiction and recovery, so adapting to a healthy lifestyle, including exercise, is a great way to maintain sobriety. Even 20 minutes a day!
Gym
A valuable and unique part of Anchor's community is its gym. Our gym is strictly for women in recovery, with at least 24 hours of sobriety. We use an honor system, but routine testing can be done if requested for accountability. (We may request a test be performed if we have reason to suspect substance use upon entrance into the facility.) Our gym facility will have traditional equipment, such as cardio, weights, and resistance. We will also hold in-person group fitness sessions, and group support. We can even pair you with a recovery workout buddy!
Fitness Plan & Coaching
All clients will be assigned a personal coach to create a fitness plan, tailored to you. You can track your progress and habits using our StrongrFastr Pro app. Your coach will be available via messaging 24/7, and if in-person, they will train you on proper use of equipment and technique.
